Coffee Sugar Scrub
I've tried ALL the sugar scrubs. Not many passed my high standards. When it comes to skin I'm very selective about what I put on it. I knew I could make something better without sacrificing on the ingredients.
Each ingredient I choose for the scrub was chosen for specific benefits.
Organic Coffee ☕️
Unlike sugar, grounds do not dissolve in water, which makes them good at scrubbing away dead skin cells. Caffeic acid, an antioxidant, found in coffee may boost collagen levels and reduce the premature aging of cells.
Organic Brown Sugar
Brown sugar is the least abrasive making it a good choice for sensitive skin and facial scrubs. Glycolic acid occurs naturally in sugar and helps cleanse the skin and dissolve dead skin cells. It’s also a humectant and will not strip your skin of its natural oils.
Citrus peel powder 🍊
Many citrus fruits contain more vitamin C in the peel than in the fruit itself. Applying vitamin C to your face may help reduce the appearance of dark spots caused by sun damage. Topical vitamin C inhibits the production of melanin, which is what gives skin spots their dark color.
Oils
I used almond oil, organic vitamin E oil and orange essential oil in this blend. I love almond oil because it improves complexion, reduces inflammation, treats dry skin and reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Vitamin E is good at hydrating the skin and prevents signs of aging and well there are benefits of orange essential oil but I just like the smell.
This scrub leaves my skin so smooth and hydrated! It’s literally shining! I'm so happy with the final outcome and the best part is you can pronounce everything in it. No chemicals and no more dry rough skin!
